WHAT/WHEN: Memorial Day Weekend Sampling Event
To kick off the official start of the grilling season, The Fresh Market will host Memorial Day Weekend sampling events on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 at all 174 store locations. From 1-5 p.m. each day, guests will have the chance to taste sizzling samples and summer sides – fresh off the grill!
To honor those who’ve served and in recognition of National Military Appreciation Month, The Fresh Market will offer a 10 percent discount from Friday, May 26 through Monday, May 29 to guests who show active or retired military identification.
In typical backyard-barbeque fashion, The Fresh Market will fire-up its grill for a neighborhood-style cookout with a variety of fresh-ground burgers, savory buns from the bakery, traditional condiments and a seasonal selection of hand-picked produce and summer sides to make every day eating experiences – such as sharing a meal al fresco – extraordinary.
Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 from 1-5 p.m.
- Outdoor sampling of gourmet burgers, ground fresh daily and handmade in store with fresh baked Golden Potato Hamburger Buns; all-beef hot dogs with Pretzilla Sausage Buns; and freshly cut, grilled pineapple
- Dress burgers and hot dogs with a variety of summer condiments including Sir Kensington’s Classic Mayonnaise, Mustard and Ketchup; and Wickles Pickles and Relish
- Farmer’s market stand packed with seasonal produce such as crisp corn, juicy watermelon and other summer staples
- ‘Watermelon Mania’ sampling of juicy watermelon, watermelon-pomegranate refresher with aloe and Hubert’s Watermelon Lemonade in the produce department
- ‘Pie à la Mode’ sampling of The Fresh Market’s Old Fashioned Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and red, white and blue pie baked fresh daily and made with a juicy blend of sweet and tart apples, blueberries and cherries in the bakery department
