The Fresh Market is voluntarily recalling blackened pumpkin seeds sold from the bulk department due to undeclared tree nuts. The Fresh Market was notified by Truly Good Foods of Charlotte, North Carolina that blackened pumpkin seeds supplied by Truly Good Foods contain undeclared tree nuts. The recalled products listed below were sold in the bulk department of The Fresh Market as random weight pre-pack packages and bulk bins:                                                                          

• Bulk Blackened Pumpkin Seeds (bulk bins; gravity fed bins)

  Effective Dates: June 28, 2017 – July 19, 2017
• Pumpkin Seeds Blackened                                                                                 UPC: 020878900XXXX
  Effective Dates: All sell-by dates

The affected products were available for purchase in all The Fresh Market’s 176 locations between June 28, 2017 and July 19, 2017.  For a complete list of store locations, please visit www.thefreshmarket.com/all-stores/. No other products at The Fresh Market are involved in this recall.

Any individuals allergic to tree nuts may run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume the affected product.  The product should be discarded or returned to any The Fresh Market store for a full refund. To date, the company has received no reports of adverse reaction due to consumption of this product.
